Core Values

At Spring Meadow Primary School and Nursery, we have embraced the values of LIFE Education Trust. We want to empower every child to approach life with optimism, creativity and compassion, and we believe that this will allow every member of our school community to flourish.

Courageous optimism

It takes courage to hope for a better future. We champion a ‘can do’ attitude and encourage our pupils and colleagues to tackle challenges with resilience and perseverance as they reach for ambitious targets.

Boundless creativity

Through captivating discoveries in the classroom and eye-opening adventures in the outside world, we give pupils freedom and promote varied learning experiences which stimulate innovation and develop adaptability.

Heartfelt compassion

We show love and respect to each member of our community as we nurture a powerful collective spirit. In humility we embrace difference and individuality, show forgiveness when necessary, and are united by compassion.

Our Vision

Our Children

Our vision is for children to have equal rights to a high quality education regardless of their background. They will have access to learning within an exciting, inspiring and nurturing environment, challenging social, cultural and economic inequalities in society today. Potential will be recognised and celebrated. We aim to achieve this by creating a culture of learning and discovery to allow children to develop into confident, inquisitive, reflective and independent learners. Our children will understand and respect the varying needs of other children and feel comfortable being the person who they want to be.

Our Staff

Our vision is for staff to feel empowered to believe that they can make a difference to all learners through having high aspirations for themselves and every child. We aim to achieve this by working in a collaborative and supportive environment, where social justice, equity and difference is celebrated. We are committed to embedding a climate of unconditional positive regard, where well-being is recognised and valued.

Our Community

Our vision is for the children, staff, parents and governors to take pride in their school and contribute positively to their community. We are aiming to support our community to understand and use the vocabulary and actions within our frameworks and policies around Trauma Informed Practice, Diversity and Inclusion, where everyone feels comfortable and able to challenge inequality. We aim to achieve this by providing a stimulating culture of learning where children participate in a variety of experiences, develop life skills and make sure that every member of the school community is valued.
