Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health

“Wellbeing is the heartbeat at Spring Meadow Primary School”
The Wellbeing Award for Schools (October 2023)

The Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) of our whole school community is at the heart of all that we do at Spring Meadow.
We understand the importance of meeting EWMH needs to create the conditions for our children to thrive.

We first achieved the Wellbeing Award for Schools in 2019, and have recently been reaccredited, with the report acknowledging that wellbeing is embedded throughout the school.

You can read the full report below, but some of the highlights include:

  • “What a nurturing and kind school. Pupils clearly enjoy learning and during the tour of the school, there was clear evidence of caring and respectful relationships between staff and pupils.”
  • “Pupils are at the heart of Spring Meadow Primary School, and staff are always adapting to the individual needs of each pupil. Spring Meadow is home to highly trained and passionate staff, who provide a nurturing environment.”
  • “The pupils I met were polite, friendly, and keen to open up and share their opinions. They were proud of their school and appreciate how teachers and LSAs recognise their effort and achievements.”
  • “From the parents and carers interviewed, praise and gratitude for staff at Spring Meadow was exceptional.”
  • “At Spring Meadow Primary School, their mission is to ‘Aim High, Inspire, and Make a Difference’. It’s these core values that remain forefront with the individual needs of every pupil and their families. By the staff inspiring their pupils, they allow their pupils to aim high and make a difference in the world.”
